Monitor the processes on a device with N-able N-central

You can monitor Windows and Mac processes and applications using the N-central Process Service. When monitoring is enabled, a new instance of the Process Service is created with the process or application name appended to the name of the process instance.

For example, monitoring Notepad creates a new instance named "Process Service - Notepad".

  1. Go to ViewsAll Devices and click the Network Devices tab.
  2. Select the device Name.
  3. Go to Tools > Processes.
  4. In the Monitored column, move the slider to On or Off to enable or disable monitoring.
    • To monitor multiple processes, tick the check boxes for the processes you want.
  5. Select Monitor with N-able N-central.
  6. Choose Turn On.
  7. Select Save.

Disabling monitoring removes all Process Service instances from the target device.

Once enabled, the N-central Process Service begins monitoring the selected process.
